Seattle vacation 08

So last week we took a road trip up to Seattle to visit Neal and his family. Those who participated in this trip was Elizabeth, Kimberly and her friend Launa. That's right, we crammed four people into my two-door chevy cavalier and drove 13 hours one way to Seattle. The trip to seattle was anything but tranquil. The three girls had quite a lot to talk about.

Here we have the Seattle space needle. It is now the tallest building I have ever been inside in my entire life. It was really cool to eat lunch and take photos of the Seattle city-scape. We stayed on long enough that I could get a full 360 panoramic photo of Seattle. I'm going to develop the photos and make a cool picture of them. The food was really good. I had Soba Noodles with Tofu in peanut sauce and I really liked it. I had to go for something a little exotic, I mean come on, we are in Seattle. Kimberly had the most expensive burger I've ever seen in my life. So the space needle accomplished two records in just one visit.
Later we found this spotting scope and Kimberly was anxious to use it. If you look closely, you can tell she's looking through it backward. Go figure....
Later we met up with Neal, Debbie and baby Kyra at Pike's Place Market. They told us to meet them at the bronze pig and while we were there we had to take advantage of the wonderful photo op. Right behind us was the fish market where they would throw the fish around. I got it on video. By the way I will publish all of our videos on the next post.

In the alley behind and below the market was this wall of gum. It was pretty disgusting. There was probably 40 feet of alley way that was covered in gum. Kimberly and Launa contributed to the chaos.

After the market we went to the Seattle science learning center where we got to play around with all the kiddie attractions.

While we were there Neal tried to boot a pigeon but the pigeon got the best of him. It did make a good action photo though.

The next day Elizabeth and I did a session at the Seattle Temple. Even that Temple was new to me because it had escalators in it.

When we got back to downtown Seattle, we went back to the science learning center to see the butterfly exhibit. It was neat to see all the different butterflies.

We then went down to the water front and went through the aquatic center before or harbor cruise tour. My favorite part was the "Nemo" exhibit and the sea otters.

This is when we went on the harbor cruise. You can see Launa and Kimberly on the lower deck giving us a thumbs up as we wait to board.

We were confused, we thought it was the Love Boat.We then went and played around at the museum of flight. We got to sit in some mock-up cockpits but that wasn't good enought for me. So we found this flight simulator that you can get in and it will spin around and do loop-da-loops. To let you all know, if the pilot of an aircraft dies, do not rely on Elizabeth to save your lives! She killed us three times in two minutes, and not because we got shot down either. Enough said. Our last night there Neal took us to a really cool New Orleans creole cafe. It had a live New Orleans Jazz band playing while we ate some traditional Cajun food. They had some oyster shooters on the appetizer menu so Elizabeth, Neal, and I had to try it. The pictures that follow tells the rest of the story.
Elizabeth didn't like it too much. Couldn't tell could you?Neal took it like a champ. So while we were there we all order some exotic non-alcoholic drinks, or at least what we thought was exotic. Neal order the Calistoga...It was actually just sparkling mineral water which was absolutely disgusting. We had to leave the next morning sadly. I really enjoyed Seattle, I thought it was a ton of fun and everyone else really liked it too. On our trip home we passes by this interesting sign for "Deadman's Pass." Apparently it's an exit for a rest area, more like a permanant rest area! Hahahaha, what a knew slapper. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Comments are well appreciated. That's right, I'm begging for feed back.
