Time to Party!

We have had a lot of fun the last couple of weeks. August 28th was Aaron's birthday. I managed to pull off a suprise party without him even suspecting, and that's a big thing because he can read me like a book. We went to dinner at the Olive Garden and while we were gone I had some friends come in and decorate and get things set up. Then all of the guests arrived about 10 minutes before we got there. Sadly they didn't get my warning text in time so they weren't really ready when we walked in, slightly anticlimatic but it was still a suprise! Aaron blew out his candles by holding a balloon over the cake. When it got hot it exploded and the force blew out all the candles. I'm not sure his wish came true when you do it like that. All a little too scientific for me. I'll stick to simply blowing them out myself.

Labor day weekend we had the chance to go to Fort Bridger and go the the mountain man rendezvous. We stayed with Mom Miller Friday night and had a nice visit. Saturday and Sunday we stayed with my best friend Katie and her family. Aaron wore his kilt proudly and was allowed to grow his beard for this occation only (it was gone Sunday night). We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the chance to visit with everyone including Jared and Nichole who swung through on their way to Idaho.
