International Cookbook

So Aaron got me an international cookbook for Christmas and we have decided to try something new from it each week to add some variety to our weekly meals. Last week I tried a Teriyaki chicken that was really good and this week I tried a recipie from Italy called "Pasta with Carbonera Sauce." It was really easy and tasted great so I thought I would share it with those who may be looking for a new recipe. Here it is. Pasta with Carbonera Sauce 1/2 pound ham or bacon (cubed) 1 onion diced 1 cup beef broth (1cup water with 1 cube bullion) 3-4 eggs 1 lb. rotini pasta Parmesan Cheese Directions: Cook ham/bacon in pan. Add onion and saute. Add broth. Simmer. After pasta is cooked, drain pasta and put back in pot. Add bacon/ham mixture. Beat eggs and drizzle on top. Mix well. Stir until eggs are cooked. Add cheese and serve. (I thought that if you could get pre-cooked bacon then the bacon mix would be ready the same time as the pasta and you could have dinner ready in 20 minutes! Yeah for quick meals) I hope you all enjoy!
