4th of July Weekend

This past weekend was a lot of fun for our family. We were pretty busy trying to get everything in but we had a blast. To start things off we had our Snow family reunion in Jensen. We were only able to get in on the morning half but we participated in the bocci ball tournament and came in 3rd losing to my parents. This is my nephew Caleb who loves hanging out with baby James. And my niece Kennedy who is 3 months older than James. We then headed off to Provo for the Stadium of Fire where Aaron's niece Jade participated as one of the dancers. And we saw Carrie Underwood in concert. With the exception of the parking everything was great and James did so well. He even slept through the fireworks. That is a miracle in itself seeing as we were only 20 or so yards away from where they were firing them off. They scared me. However the best part was when they honored all the military and then the entire stadium joined in saying the pledge of allegiance. Both Aaron and I got choked up (although he may deny it now). I am so grateful to be a citizen of this country even with it's imperfections. We spent the night at Aaron's Dad's house but got in pretty late. We were all pretty exhausted after. We then headed back to Vernal so we could meet up for the yearly family gathering of fireworks and my sister Aaryn's famous ice cream. It really is the most amazing ice cream in the world. James once again did great and even enjoyed hanging out in the grass while we ate the ice cream. But once again he slept through the fireworks. We loved seeing all the family on both sides and were glad we were able to get so much in even if it was a lot of car time. It was worth it.

Oh how cute! James looks so adorable! It's sad when your baby handles fireworks 100 times better than my dog. Let's meet half way and get together soon!
