Well this year we celebrated Halloween with pumpkin carving, Halloween parties, and a little trick or treating. It was a lot of fun and James loved being a sheep even though he kept meowing like a cat for some reason. We started the Halloween weekend by going to a friends Halloween party where Aaron and I dressed up. He was a character from one of his games Mass Effect. He was commander Shepard. He didn't actually get the entire costume done in time but what he did make turned out pretty awesome. I went as a Russian spy. As you can tell I am no good and trying to make a 'make my day' kind of look. Maybe I should avoid the spy work I don't think it would work out too well.
Sunday night we carved pumpkins. James seemed to really enjoy it and Madeline supervised the carving from the bouncer. I'm not sure she was too thrilled with it all.
Monday we celebrated Halloween by going to a community Halloween party. They had all sorts of activities like a cake walk, fishing, a small maze, balloon animals, face painting ect. We met up with one of our friends there and Aaron took the one picture we remembered to take.
That evening we dressed the kids up again and went trick-or-treating. We only went to two houses but still had fun. We went to a next door neighbors and then drove out to my grandparents house in Mendon. They hadn't met Madeline yet so it was nice to have a chance to show her off and to visit. It made for a great FHE and relaxing evening. It turned out to be a great Halloween!
