Thanksgiving

This past week we had the chance to drive to Vernal for Thanksgiving break. It was very busy but we still enjoyed it. We arrived Tuesday night and relaxed with my parents. Wednesday we were off and running I stayed home and helped my mom and sister Michelle make 20, yes 20 pies for Thanksgiving weekend. And yes we forgot to get a picture of all the final pies. Aaron went up to help his sister Joslin decorate a tree she was putting together for Madeline and the trees for Charity. We had an awesome Thanksgiving dinner with nearly all of my siblings were there with the exception of my brother Neal and my sister Kimberly and their families. After the meal the girls all enjoyed visiting and the boys went out to play football. Aaron and I then headed up to his sister's house for another Thanksgiving. It was so nice to be able to visit both families. Madeline's first Thanksgiving Friday we went to Vernal's Holly Days. We went to the Festival of Trees to see the trees (yes trees, we had another person do a tree for her. It is amazing how many people we don't even know are helping us. We are truly blessed.) Here are the trees they did. Aren't they amazing! I could never put something that cute or coordinated together.

As the other activities for the Holly Days they had pony rides and camel rides. James loved the pony rides (until we got off) but the line for the camel rides were waaaay to long. They also had a Minute to Win it competition. Aaron decided try it out and he won! He had to get a cookies from his forehead to his mouth. It was very funny to watch. He won a Scuba Diving set (not very useful for us, but his sister is headed to Hawaii next year so we gave it to them). We took a family picture in from of some of the lights and I thought it was a perfect description of how our night was. James crying half the time and Aaron and I pretending that we are having a great time.... We really did enjoy it however James was having a rough night after little sleep in a strange place and serious over stimulation. Saturday Grandpa Snow took the grandkids horse back riding. James had a great time, but what he loved even more was riding in Grandpa's ranger. While waiting for Grandpa to trim the horses hooves I sat with James in the Ranger. When I wouldn't start it up James decided that it must be 'boke'. But he was sure that 'Papa' could fix it. We grabbed this video. I think it was one of my favorite parts of the weekend.
