While Daddy's Away... Mom tries not to go stir crazy

This past week Aaron went to California for an engineering conference where he presented his master's project. Since Madie's surgery this had been the only thing Aaron has been working on. His presentation went well and even gave him some great connections to possible job opportunities. While he was gone we tried to find some activities to keep up occupied and not get too crazy. We brought out Madeline's play mat to see what she thought of it. I'm not sure who liked it more James or Madeline. She loved it. James had to climb in with her and show her how to properly play with the toys. I think she enjoyed watching him as much as she did the toys. It was a great distraction for both the kids. Wednesday we spent 3 hours at doctors appointments for Madeline. James stayed home and played with some neighbors. We found out that Madeline had an ear infection and needs tube. On the bright side we got her oxygen saturation levels tested and she was at 95 on average. We are hoping that once we hear back from her cardiologist that she can be off of the oxygen during the day. Thursday we made finger painted Valentines. James had a blast with it. It was a great distraction and what time we didn't fill painted was finished off playing the greatly needed bath. Aaron got home Friday night, and we are so glad to have him home. We spend the weekend taking a much needed break by hanging out with my family at a USU basketball game. We won't comment on the actual game but it was wonderful to get out without the kids and have some time off. It was a great break to a long week.

Wait, you are trying to go stir crazy? I thought the goal was NOT to go stir crazy.
