Utah County Fair

We went on our first big outing as a family of 6 this past weekend to the Utah County Fair down in Spanish Fork. We got an advertisement for it in the local papers and after James saw that they had fishing for kids he was set on going. (He has been fishing numerous times and yet to catch a fish and he was determined not let the streak continue).  It is probably one of the last Saturdays that Aaron will actually be home for quite a while and we were going to take advantage of it.

It wasn't super crowded which was nice. The kids were able to do the activities without waiting in huge lines. James only had to wait about 10 minutes for the fishing.

The kids could only catch one fish or either 10 minutes which ever came fist. All these kids were catching fish and James wasn't getting anything. It was nearing his 10 minutes and I knew if he didn't catch a fish here we were in for some major disappointment. Thankfully he caught one and I'm not sure who was more excited. Aaron or James.
Titus loved looking at all the animals, especially the rabbits and chickens. But he loved getting to hold the lemonade all on his own.
Until he got his balloon. That pretty well kept him entertained the rest of the afternoon.
We were glad that Uncle Ammon came with us and that we got to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa Jensen for part of the time we were there.
James other request of the fair was to see the snake and reptile exhibit. What we didn't know was that he was going to get to hold a snake. He was pretty excited about that. Don't be surprised if this kid ends up working with animals when he gets bigger because he really loves them.
Levi was there too. He wasn't too impressed with the fair though. He was happy to sleep the entire time strapped on to mom. But here is a cute picture of him at home wide awake.
