Well, this is the moment we've all been waiting for, at least I have been. After a week being overdue we got to go into the hospital Tuesday night so that Elizabeth could be induced. We checked in roughly around 7:45pm. They checked her out to see if she had progressed at all by herself and she hadn't. So they set her up with a drug called Cytotek that helps the cervix relax. It kind of made her contractions irregular so with another drug they were stabablized. After awhile of this, and a lot of painful contractions later, Elizabeth opted for the epidural. Shortly after they hooked her up with some oxytocin. Before the epidural she was measuring at 3cm dilated and 90% effaced. Not ten minutes after the epidural was in she was at a 9 and fully effaced. One hour later she was "complete" at 10 cm. The nurses were getting swamped right at that moment so the let Elizabeth acclamate to the changes and relax naturally. After that it was game on. Without any further ado. Here's the video. Don't worry they're all PG.
