While baby delays, Mommy plays...

This past week my mom came up to visit. We were planning on the baby being here and her helping me however since that didn't happen and my dad had a five day trip to California she came anyway. I was so greatful because it provided a lot of distractions plus we spent some time out at my Grandparent's home in Mendon (15 mintues away) and I got to spend some quality time with family while Aaron was at school and at work. For those who aren't aware, my mom has her own business when she does custom window treatments, I never got around to putting and drapes up in our bay windows even though I always wanted to I could never find what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. Well since we had time to kill and bare windows drive my mom crazy we started the search for some fabric. Although it doesn't match perfectly with our apartment, I love the results! We found some amazing sales and spent about $40 for all three windows because we made the valences. So without me jabbering on too long, here are our new windows. Oh and another great thing about them is that we made them adjustable so I can take them to future apartments and hopefully make them work. Now that is a feat. Even my Mom was impressed with our creative design and she has been in the business for 30+ years. Go us!
