Eight Months

It seems crazy to me that James is already eight months old. He has really taken off this past month and is getting into just about everything now. It is a lot of fun but I can't take my eyes off him long or he is sure to head straight for a power cord or try and eat someone's shoe. (Yes he loves shoes, we must keep them hidden in the closet at all times or he makes a bee line for them and is eating them in no time flat. As for some of his other new favorite, here you go. He is now pulling himself up on everything and trying to get anything left withing arm's reach, including the remote. We ended up getting an old one for him because he was so determined to get the one we used. He loves pulling his books off of his book shelf in his room. In fact he loves pulling anything out if it has a place. Toys out of the toy box, everything out of the diaper bag, paper out of the recycling box. He loves it all. I don't think he really plays with any of his toys now. Just pulls them and and waits for me to put everything back so he can do it again. This is James helping me do the dishes this morning. He thought playing with the bowl and spoon were super fun and it entertained him the entire time I was cleaning! James also likes to crawl around while carrying things in his mouth. It is much easier than trying to hold them in his hand. He particularly likes his sippy cup. Once he gets it, it must remain with him so he just carries it with him. We got him this ball at the dollar store the other day and I think it was a great investment. He loves rolling around on it, chasing after it, and rolling it back and forth with me. He giggles every time I roll it to him. So cute. Last off all food! James has decided he wants to help feed himself. Since he can now feed himself snacks, (and everything on the floor) he thinks needs to feed himself everything. He will let me put food on the spoon but not in his mouth. That is apparently his job. Well as you can it gets pretty messy but he has a great time doing it.
