This past week we were able to get a break from our crazy schedules and actually spend some time as a family. Thursday we had a late FHE because it was the first day Aaron had off that week. We went down to a miniature golf course in Providence and played all 18 holes with James. It is usually pretty slow there but there were having a ward party so there were a lot of people playing. I wasn't sure how James would do having to wait for every hole but he did great. They gave him his own plastic club and ball and he caught on really quickly. It soon became a game of beat James to your ball before he came after it. He understood you had to hit it with the club in the hole and was really trying hard to get it in. Of course he soon wanted to use our clubs so I ended using his plastic club. I even got a hole in one with it.
Friday and Saturday we headed down to Salt Lake. We stayed Friday with my sister. I got to pick up a bunch of girl clothes and hang out with my sister shopping while the men stayed home and played kinect with the the kids. Saturday we went to Lagoon with Aaron's family. I wasn't sure how James would do but he actually did really well. He loved watching the roller coasters and would squeal whenever he heard the people screaming. He also wanted to give everyone in the park hi-fives and knuckles. Thanks to some wonderful nieces he was even able to ride some rides because, I was too big and he was too little to go on his own. His favorite rides were the car and the train, I think he would have rode around on the car ride all day if he could. Every time we passed it he would want to get on and he cried every time they took him off.
James did really well on all the rides till he hit his point of exhaustion. He was fine one minutes and then done the next. Which happened on a ride of course. (you have to see this one larger to really see has sad face)
James 5 minutes later.
Aaron had to show off and play a few games. He won a blow up bat which James instantly decided was his new favorite toy. It was a good thing we got it on our way out because he did not want to let go of it.
I thought I would feel like this.. at the end of the day.
Bur fortunately I felt more like this...
