We had our first family reunion this year with just my parents, siblings, and grand kids. We headed down to Vernal Thursday night and spent Friday and Saturday camping at steinaker reservoir just outside Vernal. It was nice because we could play in the water, camp, and visit with family, even though we got caught in a couple of down pours and had to hide under the pavilion for a while. James had a great time because he at least 4 or 5 cousins following him around non-stop the entire time. In fact he had to come and find me just to get a break occasionally he was so overwhelmed by the constant attention. Friday night we had a family dance in the parking lot and Aaron played DJ. We all had a lot of fun and had no embarrassment about our outdated but very awesome dance moves.
Saturday we played in the lake, hung out with the family, had a family skit night, and the proceeded to make a mad dash home to my parents house because Jame decided to get a stomach bug and start throwing up with he continued to do the rest of the night. Fortunately it was after all of the family festivities. On the down side the rest of the family got sick when the got home.

Some of James other favorite activities during the reunion included:
Discovering that other people have belly buttons too...

Chasing ball. No joke It think he was doing this 90% of the time with nieces and nephews chasing the ball for him and bringing it back. He was in heaven.

Due to all the running around after the ball James face planted it, twice! It was pretty sad he just skinned it the first time but got a bloody nose the second time. He was looking rather rough even though the picture doesn't do it justice.

Taking a nap with Dad. I was so glad Aaron was around. He was the only one who could get James to sleep the entire time. He put him to bed at night and to sleep for naps. James refused to even lay down with me but Dad was a different story. Thank goodness for Dads!

James loved playing with this water hydrant. He was soaked by the end but dried out quickly.

Once we got home and James was feeling better he spend the rest of our break outside with the animals. He loved my parents kittens and wanted to "ug" (translation 'hug') them all the time. It was a great distraction when he wasn't feeling so hot. He also loved the dog and wanted to 'ug' him all the time too. I'm so glad that the animals were all very patient and kid friendly because I'm sure James was pushing the limits at times.
