Well after 4 1/2 years we finally have a dog! It wasn't exactly the way we were planning on it but it seems to have worked out just right. His name is Max and he is a 4 year old Labrador. He is incredibly well trained, will let James sit on him, ride him, roll over him, hug him, and kiss him, without moving and inch. He is coming from our neighbors next door who are moving and can't take Max with them. They couldn't find another home for him and after a couple days on a trial run, Max will officially be staying.
I wasn't quite ready for an inside dog to be honest, I really wanted to wait till we had a house, but Max is so easy and past all the training phase that he makes it quite enjoyable. And did I mention that James LOVES him. The first morning we had him James was saying prayer and said, 'thank you for my dog' I knew we were gonners. We are excited to have him!
