Well I am another year older. Feel the same but maybe I will actually get my age right now since I have been thinking I was 26 since my last birthday. Don't ask me why I was adding a year.
We started the celebrations a little early with a date to the symphony last weekend. I won free ticket a while ago and they let me pick a concert to go to. I picked the one nearest my birthday and it worked out great. We bought a night of babysitting at our wards Young Women/YM service fundraising auction a while back so we had a baby sitter already set up. It was a wonderful date with some great music that I have missed very much since leaving school and all the free concerts and free babysitters. (And of course we forgot to get a picture even though I was dressed to the nines and looked pretty great if I do say so myself :)
Sunday night gave a an unexpected surprise when my sewing machine decided to die on me in the middle of making Madie's Easter dress. That pretty much determined my birthday gift with promptly arrived Monday night. It is an older machine but one a feel will be much more reliable. And I got it in time to finish both my and Madie's Easter dress.
Friday we finally celebrated with cake and ice cream and I got 'Les Miserable' from Aaron that he had already planned on giving me before the sewing machine incident. Aaron's mom gave me a beautiful purse that I can't wait it get out and my own PINK tool set from my parents so Aaron will stop stealing my tools. It was a great birthday and maybe I will get my age right since I have been adding a year on since last year. I guess I just wanted to be 26 for a really long time.
