The Sunday following Aaron's class reunion, Aaron headed home to Boise while I headed to Vernal to spend a week with my family. I'm not sure I could call it too much of a vacation since we worked pretty much non-stop on shelves, pictures, and window treatments for our house but it was very, very productive and still a lot of fun. James and Madie enjoyed helping out when they could and couldn't get enough of Grandma and Grandpa's swing.
James also loved the garden. He frequently had to run out the door to 'Go check on the corn' and is still telling me how we need to plant some 'vegetables' in our back yard. (I agree)
As mentioned before Madie and James quite enjoyed helping us prime all of our projects. Even after everything was painted James wanted to keep going. He couldn't get enough of it. Madie was mostly a mischief maker and we had to keep a close eye on her not to put her hand right in the paint.
While in Vernal Madie got her first hair cut from one of my best friends Katie. We loved her long hair but it was getting quite mullet like and we figured it needed some help. Aaron didn't trust me to do it so we left it to a professional.

After! so much better and now she has cute bangs too!
Part 2 of our trip consisted of traveling out to Salt Lake for a day and dropping the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, as well as Aunt Gentry and cousin Bridger. I hear they had a great time and while they were getting some much needed cousin time I got me some much needed sister time! All of us sisters met up and drove down to Cedar City for my little sister Kimberly's baby shower. It was great fun and so nice to have 2 days without kids and non-stop sister chatter and fun.
By the time we picked up James he was ready to be heading home.
