Father's Day

It was so exciting to be able to spend Father's day in our new home. It was our first week as a family in our new ward and James LOVED it! He was so excited to see all of the kids (all of our other wards up till now had very few young children). We sat down by another family with about 4 boys and James slide over and sat by the youngest (7 yrs old) and eventually had his arm over the little boys shoulders and stayed that way the rest of the meeting. I'm glad he was a good sport. The primary stood up to sing a song and James just followed them up there. He had no idea what they were singing but stood smiling by his new friend until they were done and then came back down.
The ward has 2 nurseries and so he and Madie are split up which makes James pretty happy to be with the 'big kids' and not the 'babies'.

Since Aaron already got his Father's day gift early the highlight of the day was making him a cookie cake. He has been wanting it for a while and I thought I would wait till his birthday but since we didn't have anything for him to open I figured we should do an extra special meal. James and Madie had a blast helping and I loved my nice huge counter top. I have been so excited for this house just for this reason, making food with my kids with them up and the bar and me on the kitchen and no kids under foot!

Look at all that room!
WE LOVE YOU DAD!!!!
