I can't believe we celebrated Madies 2nd birthday this week. We started out the week getting some 2 year pictures taken. We had a neighbor who did them and it was the fastest photo shoot we have done. She was so happy and smiley we got all the shots we needed in no time flat. (Note: Aaron says he is limiting me to 1 family photo shoot a year, I think any reason is a reason to get more pictures).
For Madie's birthday celebration we were luck to have to end up on the same weekend as our town's Harvest Festival. They had all sorts of kid games and train rides, most of which James did, Madie mostly ran around on the grass and tried to meet as many new people as possible. Unfortunately right as it was ending a huge wind storm came up so we called it quits and headed home before we got to all the activities we wanted.
I really did try and get a picture at the festival but she was to quick for me and every time I got in front of her she would turn and go around. She is one quick little girl anymore.
We headed back home for some dinner and cake/ice cream and presents.
Pink Lemonade Ballerina Cake
Madie's decorations and best of all present time!!!!
Madie was super excited with her rocking horse until James made her go a little too wild on it (video to follow) If it takes her a bit to get back I know whom to blame. She loved opening all of her presents, and loved pulling all the clothes with an appropiate "oooooo" every time and would lay them on her to see how they looked then hand it to me and look at the next one. I love my girly girl.
The biggestest hit of the night was the popping ball toy from our good friends the Harts!
We couldn't drag Madie or the boys away from it all night, or well since to be honest.
Cake time! Madie was NOT happy to leave the toys and get back in the high chair but was okay with it once we handed her the cake.
By the time we were finished she was one worn out little girl but insisted on taking one of the balls with her to bed. This is how I found her when I checked in on her for the night.
Here are a few video clips of the evening. Happy Birthday Miss Madeline. We love you and are so glad to have you as part of our family. You teach us so much every day and always are there to bring a smile to anyone and everyone around you.
