Happy Easter

This has been such a fun Easter weekend. I love the holidays with kids. There is so much for excitement for every little thing and it reminds me to appreciate the smallest of blessings. Easter is not excluded. I love Easter, I love spring, I love the sun finally coming out after the cold winter.

We had a great time going to 2 different Easter egg hunts which James was super excited to go to but only ended up getting one egg between the 2 egg hunts, he was so excited to get his one egg he totally forgot to keep getting more.

Madie did a little better but mostly because I got to help her, fortunately they didn't mind too much that there wasn't a huge take in Easter eggs,
At the afternoon Easter egg hunt they had chickens an rabbits and both Madie and James spent more time there than doing anything else. I was really impressed with Madie because she is not a big animal person, however right after I took this picture the chicken flapped it's wings and she wouldn't come near them again. James on the other hand has no hesitancy at all about holding feeding anything with an animal

Titus was hanging out with me in the front pack the whole time so he wasn't in any of the pictures so when we got home he got some Easter pictures.

That night we finally got around to coloring Easter eggs. Madie mostly hung out and played with the newspaper and painted some with paintbrushes.
James couldn't figure out the whole using the spoon to get eggs in and out so he just used his hands. By the time he was done he had very black fingers but he had a lot of fun.
Sunday morning the kids got all their new Easter outfits and we had to snap a few pictures. And what a better place than in front of our newly painted red door :) Just really excited about that.
 Love these beautiful kids!

To finish off here is a post Aaron posted earlier today on facebook:

I don't post often about my religious beliefs, infrequent at best. Some may say I'm lacking in my "missionary" duties, but I think (hope) that if any of my friends had a question about my beliefs, they'd simply ask me. Today is Easter Sunday, and I want to say a few things about it. If you'd rather move on, here's your advance warning.

I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

I believe that there is a loving God, and that He loves us so much that He sent His Son to endure the pains of our sins and to overcome death itself.

I believe that the reason he loves us is because he is our Eternal Father and that we are his children.

I believe that God has a plan for each of us and a purpose for our being, and it's all centered around being with family in heaven.

I believe that God still speaks today to anyone who is willing to listen and obey.

I believe that God has an ordained prophet and twelve apostles today just as in times Jesus walked the earth, and that by heeding their words, our lives may be made clearer.

I believe that we all have the ability to choose for ourselves. I believe that choosing what God wants rather than what I want will make me happy.

I believe that Jesus died on the cross for each of us, to pay for this sins of this world. This is a gift given freely to all.

I believe that by obeying His commandments, I may inherit a higher existence (Eternal Life).

I believe that Jesus rose from His tomb three days after His death on the cross, and that He has been resurrected; that He lives today and has a perfected and Holy body of flesh and bone.
