We've been having a busy month around here.
Madie started special ed. preschool mid April. She loves riding the bus to school and is going to school twice a week for this school year/7 weeks of school. Next year she will go 4 days a week.James went to the fire department for his Joy school field trip. He is really is not a big fan of fire stations. He is always afraid the sirens are going to go off at any moment. He was pretty nervous with his hands over his ears most of the time until they were showing them the paramedic equipment. They had the heart monitor and that showed the heart rate. James really wanted to do that. His heart rate was 130. A little nervous. But by the end he was smiling and even sat on the firetruck with out looking like he was terrified.
Mother's Day was great this year. Titus got to go to nursery! So I got to go to Sunday School and Relief Society without a baby and Titus can't get into nursery fast enough. James helped Aaron make me breakfast and made a super cute card in preschool where apparently my favorite foods are pasta and pizza :) I also got to stock up on all my plant for my garden YAY!
The next weekend was father's son outing. The camping part got canceled due to rain so we decided to make the best of it and camp out at home. Bridger came and Aaron's dad and we still had hot dogs and roasted smore's. James and Bridger put the tent up in the living room and had fun staying up playing with flashlights and transformers until 10 o'clock at night.
The rest of this month has pretty much been rain. Lot's and lot's of much needed rain. It seems like every afternoon we have have had dark clouds up above. James has loved it.
Our house has not... In April when we got the first big storm the wind was crazy and blew off about half of our shingles and left the other half barely hanging on. It took about a month to get the insurance to agree on a pay out. The first day they were on the job they had about half the shingles off down to the plywood. We had a crazy freak monsoon the middle of the afternoon while everything was uncovered and it came through the ceiling. (so now we get to have that fixed too)
With the end of the school year we had preschool graduation for James and Madie.
James is so excited to be ready to move on to Kindergarten and finally go to the 'big kid school.'
Madie had her end of the year program as well. (Even if was only 6 weeks) I was really impressed with how well she did. I can't wait to see what an entire school year will do.
Madie and Miss Alicen.
We have had a bust month and now we can't wait to see what the summer brings including a new baby. We are looking forward to some fun adventures this year.
