October was one crazy month. We were running non stop and I am so glad that it is November and we get to slow down a little.
October started out with General Conference weekend my sister Rebekah came out with her family for her husbands mission reunion and we were able to host them for part of the weekend. Sunday afternoon after conference we smoked up some pork roast and hosted her family as well as my brother Jeremy and his wife. It was a craziness but a lot of fun.
2 Days later we had 2 of Aaron's mission companions and their families over for dinner. One of them is from Canada and we haven't seen since Aaron was a groomsman for their wedding almost 8 years ago. It was a fun night and one I hope doesn't take another 8 years to happen again.

The following Saturday night Aaron picked up another friend from Germany who came to visit for a week. Sunday afternoon they drove down to Southern Utah. They spent a day driving around Monument Valley and then over to Moab. Uwe (his friend) was really impressed with the amount of 'nothing' there was.
The second part of their trip they headed out to Vernal where we showed Uwe around the farm, Dinosaur National Monument, horse back riding, and some shooting. He was especially impressed with mom's cowboy dinner of steak, potatoes, beans, and apple cobbler.
While Aaron was out touring I was got a week of the stomach flu. Madie was sick Monday it seemed to be a 24 hour thing and we headed out to Vernal on Wednesday for Fall break. On the way there Titus started throwing up. We spend pretty much the entire break taking care of sick kids and passing the fun stomach bug to the rest of our family (sorry). Levi and James both caught it. It was not a particularly fun fall break however in between the boughts of sickness the kids did get out and have some fun playing in the leaves.
Although the stomach stuff only lasted about 24 hours it took/is taking weeks for the kids to get back to sleeping normally again and it took Titus about a week to stop being super grumpy and clingy.
Although it took a while to get things back to normal around here Levi made it a bit more enjoyable because he started smiling!
