James Birthday

Last week we celebrated James 6th Birthday! It is hard to believe he is that old already. We had a great time celebrating his birthday this year and he got totally spoiled. We started his birthday out with biscuits and gravy for breakfast and opening presents.
His favorites were the Pikachu that sat on his shoulder and shoots discs and his new army set.
That night we took him to Pizza Pie Cafe for all you can eat pizza and pasta. Pretty sure that kid was in heaven we had never been before and the thought of eating what and however much you wanted of his two favorite food was just crazy. Then to add to the birthday celebration Aaron took James to the movie theater to watch the new Star Wars movie. James had a pretty great birthday.

Saturday James had his birthday party! It was an army theme if you couldn't tell.
We had all of the party guests, check in, get a headband, get their picture taken and then they made and colored paper airplanes while we waited for the party guests to arrive.
All the party guest and their ID Photos!

Once everyone checked-in they attended basic training with Uncle Ammon. They learned to salute, do push-ups, jumping jacks, and did some running in place.

After Basic Training they split into teams for the rest of their army training, they had target practice with a nerf gun and plastic cups and an obstacle course where they had to save a soldier dodge through bombs and escape the enemy (I was told by both kids and parents that this was THE favorite activity).
After everyone complete the inside activities we took everyone out to the garage to detonate the pinata grenade.

It was then time for cake and ice cream!

James wanted a tank for his birthday cake.
We did a marble cake and colored the white portion green so the inside looked like camouflage. My favorite was the candle sticking out of the cannon so it was on fire when he blew the candles out.
Opening presents. James got a lot of guns! He and Titus have been having a great time
Uncle Ammon and the kids with their battle faces.
