Birthday and Spring!

Well this past week was my birthday and although I wasn't sure that it would be a very exciting day I ended up enjoying it very much. James gave me an early birthday present, literally, by waking up an hour and a half early and deciding not to go back to sleep. However, Aaron was very sweet and got up with him. I couldn't go back to sleep but I did get to lie around in bed and be lazy for a bit. On Tuesdays Aaron is at school for 11 hours from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM so I was thinking I would have to hang out by myself all day, however he had a break in his schedule during the afternoon so we went out to lunch and Chili's. It was great. The rest of the day was spent talking with my sisters, making cake, and just relaxing. That night we had friends over for cake and ice cream and I got to be the center of attention. It was wonderful! To make life even better, today was warm enough to go outside and it wasn't raining! Both James and I have been going stir crazy these past few weeks because we had a few warm day and got to play outside and then it has been cold a rainy since. We spent nearly all day day outside. We took a walk in the morning and wore just jackets. Then we took Aaron lunch which James loves. He is always trying to be just like his dad and I think it is so cute. Then went to Willow Park Zoo in the afternoon where we spent 2 hours looking at the animals and playing on the park. We barely made it though the zoo portion because the first exhibit was monkey's and James didn't want to leave them. Once we started playing in the park James was in heaven. He loves the slide and can't get enough of it. I can't wait till the weather allows us to do this more often because it was a great day.
