Following Father's Day my parents came to visit Wednesday through Saturday. They brought us their old dining room table (since they recently got a new one even though my father is still unsure if he likes it yet) as well as some extra chairs, the valences we worked on when I was visiting as well as all sorts of stuff my mom has been collecting for the past month or so. Along with a truck full of furniture, they brought my two nieces BreAnna and Ashlyn with them.
We spend the next 2 1/2 days working pretty much non-stop arranging the house, putting up shelves, pictures, recovering chairs, making shelving and pretty much doing everything to make our house look amazing. I really can't take much credit for much of it. I feel like I spent most of my time saying yes or no, higher, lower, left, right, or supervision type stuff. It seemed like everyone else did all the real work. BreAnna and Ashlyn really made it possible because they kept my children dressed, fed, and entertained the entire time.
We did manage to sneak away for a few minutes on Saturday and run down to the splash pad a mile or so from our house.
As well as house stuff, Dad and Aaron got started getting our fencing going. Aaron was pretty excited to have a reason to bring the drill rig home from his work and it made short work of drilling 20 fence post holes.
