Easter

We had so much fun celebrating Easter this year. It is definitely more fun with kids and every year is more fun as they get older and really get into all the activities.

We started off with the Easter egg hunt the Monday before Easter. The Realtor company we bought our home through puts on and Easter egg hung every year complete with a bounce house, baby animal petting zoo, dinner and of course one really huge Easter egg hunt.

Apparently meeting the Easter Bunny was not exciting....
Madie and Titus really only got a a few eggs on their own. Madie would pick one up and find another kid and put it in their basket. Titus picked one up and just wanted to see what was in it, fortunately James helped them out and filled their baskets a bit more
They turn was James age group. Aaron told him to run straight for the middle and start their and he would do great. James did perfect and I'm not sure who was more proud, Aaron or James of his first really successful competitive egg hunt :)
In the end they still and a few hundred  or more eggs left so they spread them out on the field and let all the dads take a turn. So Aaron got to go Easter egg hunting too.
While everyone else was having their turn at the egg hunts Titus was quietly unwrapping candy and eating it as fast as he could. He had quite a pile we had to pick up...
And Yes, I was there too!
The Saturday before Easter we dyed Easter eggs. It seems to get messier every year.  But they sure have a great time. I really like letting them roll it on the paper towels with food coloring dropped on it. It is less messy than them trying to get the eggs in and out of the cups and the eggs look pretty neat.

Even Levi had his turn.
Easter Morning the kids all got to get their Easter baskets.

Levi really liked this part. So much in fact that he finally decided sitting up for more than 30 seconds was pretty good!
The favorite part had to be getting the swim noodle swords.
We attempted to get a picture before church. It kind of worked. Ever kid is looking at the camera in a different picture.
Levi took a super late afternoon nap that night so he wasn't going to bed too early so I decided to take few pictures of him finally sitting up!
I also made myself a new dress for Easter/My birthday however getting a decent picture was a little interesting. We took probably 15 shots and all I got were comments from Aaron:
"Would you stop looking so tired..."
"Um you look crazy in that one..."
"Now you look like your stoned..."

Maybe I shouldn't be trying to take picture at 10 o'clock at night after a very long weekend...
