Yup that's right. We had a lovely fire at house. As if things aren't exciting enough around here. It was around 9 at night I had been taking a bath and when I came back out to the kitchen something did not smell right. I wandered around the house for probably 15 minutes trying to figure out where in the world it was coming from. Finally I looked over at our sliding back door and I saw what I thought was steam or fog coming in through the bottom. I thought that was pretty weird so I opened the door and looked out and there right beside the the back of the house and deck were on fire! I ran down stairs and yelled at Aaron's brother Ammon (who lives in the basement currently) That the house was on fire. He ran out and started putting it out while I called 911 and got the kids over to the neighbors house. Aaron was working and came home as fast as he could (probably too fast... )
Fortunately we caught it early and it was all exterior damage. The only plus side is when they did the repairs we had them put in French doors rather than the sliding and I love that.
